A great way to stay healthy is to make sure you eat fruits and vegetables that are in season. When produce is at the freshest, it has the highest amount of nutrients. Also, when fruits and vegetables are in season, they are at their tastiest. Here is a list to help you choose the best seasonal produce at your local market. Many of these foods however are found year round in todays global economy. However, that does not mean they the freshest and the most nutrient rich. Spring, summer and fall offer us the best times to buy local fruits and vegetables here in the U.S.
